School
Question:
Hello, I use to work with kids, now I work with computers. But I thaught I would give a hand to an old collegue that still works with kids. He takes care of a kid who has la tourette and would like to know if you could give him tips on how to keep him in school, how to work with the school to have them offer the right support to the kid, and how to help the kid in the school context. If anyone could give me a few tips, I would appreciate and would pass them along to my friend. thanks, Denis

Question. Has the child been evaluated by the school for special services? The school is required to provide an appropriate and free education to all children regardless of their disability. If no evaluation has been done, the parent can request one. If the symptoms interfere with school performance, there is not reason why the school should not be cooperative with you in provided help for the child. Kevin Morris School Psychologist Kentucky
