Will start a separate thread, including Bonnie’s comments, what we’ve done so far, and some questions I have … — Tourette Syndrome – Now What? http://members.home.net/tourettenowwhat

‘Twas Sun, 6 May 2001 07:32:09 -0400 when the wise and venerated "KATHRYN A TAUBERT" <KATAUB…@prodigy.net> enlightened alt.support.tourette with these thought provoking words: >> I can’t get away from military analogies. Battle is ugly and appears >> irrational. Only by understanding the war can you understand the battle. >And this is a very good analogy of the immune system in action.
Thank you. I have been programming computers and playing war games since 1972. In the 1980s, I was reading Scientific American regularly. A lot of biological knowledge was being uncovered at the time, and a lot of it was similar to computers and war. I know theory; I know the big picture. I don’t know the details. The following is based on knowing theory of war, theory of systems, broad knowledge of the immune and digestive systems, and logical inference, but absolutely no knowledge about nutrition: Blessed, I know you’re seeing Kathryn’s nutritionist, and Kathryn is helping you with the details of making food out of that nutritious stuff. I can’t help there except to say that dill pickles always make me feel better. B^) Get your boy on a diet that includes all the trace nutrients and whatever is good for boosting the immune system. Then keep him on a very _consistent_ diet. There should be diversity, but he should have all of that diversity every few days. — RB |
