Well, the percocet that I wiped my son out with last night (while he was sleeping, after spending a full day in ER, I found *ALL* that spare time to respond to the mess these netcops continues to make of our newsgroup) has worn off and we’re in for another day of Dr. visits trying to determine what’s gotten hold of his body while we wait for the lumbar puncture culture. [Aside1: CAPS ADDED JUST FOR tm, since these BOZO NET COPS have now insulted AT LEAST FOUR PEOPLE I care a lot for.] [Aside2: Jo or anyone else, any bad news I should know about percocet reactions in a child with TS - he seemed to rest peacefully for the first time once he'd taken it?] Joanne Cohen wrote: > I’m just wondering if anyone has ideas about how to ‘resolve’ this issue so > that we can get on with things…
The same way that has always been the case: kill file ALL of them. Contrary to reports, I have found it VERY EASY to killfile BJ. I haven’t seen a post of his in ages, and he tends to post in bunches — you just killfile the latest bunch whenever he appears. Killfiling all these other crossposted yahoos is a much harder deal, and watching where they take our words and how they use them creates a lot of extra work. So, you just solve that by killfiling the whole thread and not being sucked in — ya know, follow the chocolate
) It’s very easy to walk away from the whole thing, and not let it take us over again. > I’m just concerned that this will take us down a rabbit hole.
It already has. Look how this mess is far worse than any of BJ’s shenanigans, which are fairly predictable and manageable. Actually, he doesn’t come in here and insult our most cherished friends the way this latest crowd has. > Do we vote?
Methinks there’s nothing democratic about this process … I also hope they’ll create the moderated group, but … Even if they create their separate moderated group, I’m not sure they’ll leave us alone … we’re looking at SIX years of history of not letting things go, and I’ve already heard what happens to *anyone* who dares to take on John Price
)) > Do we continue to discuss it?
We won’t have much choice … but there’s always the killfile. It’s probably the best alternative at this point. In the meantime, they will continue to chase people off of ast and blame more than his share of the problem on BJ. — Tourette Syndrome – Now What? http://members.home.net/tourettenowwhat

I am sorry for the hurried typing and this very big OOPS. Leslie, I apologize — I am not saying you are not a cherished friend of ast … I should have typed that he is only after ONE of us, but this other group has insulted MANY of us … off the computer now, since I don’t have time to be doing this today. — Tourette Syndrome – Now What? http://members.home.net/tourettenowwhat

I vote for this one. Laffin *I am not a Doctor, but I play one on T.V.

I hope your son is doing better, I’ve been gone all day and am catching up. Sounds like his mom is his best medicine
The only thing about Percocet I’d be worried about is possible contraindications with other meds, esp. since narcotics can have a summative effect with the side effects of neuroleptics, etc. So, e.g., percs plus Risperdal, or vicoden with Orap, etc. Such combos can really knock you out. If you have *any* concerns call your pharmacist – they have super computers now that can cross-check all possible contraindications and warnings, etc. Good luck, hon, I hope they figure it out soon. Thanks Jo … he’s only on the amoxicillin, zithromax and percocet, which I’m doling out very carefully (only at night) … he seems to be doing OK with it … we’ll see how the weekend goes … Joanne Cohen wrote: > I hope your son is doing better, I’ve been gone all day and am catching up. > Sounds like his mom is his best medicine

I’m just wondering if anyone has ideas about how to ‘resolve’ this issue so that we can get on with things… I’m just concerned that this will take us down a rabbit hole. Do we vote? Do we continue to discuss it? Do we look for options? Do we all go to Leslie’s house for coffee and double chocolate chip cookies? Do I ask enough questions? "Your honor, I plead the 5th Tollhouse amendment" "The Tollhouse amendment?" "Yes. I was under the influence of chocolate chip cookies, and anything I say or do or any jeans I attempt to fit into may incriminate me". "The defendant may step down" "Er, your Honor, that’s dependent". "Dependent?"| "Yessir, dependent on chocolate" "Court’s adjourned" -Jo
