How to tell ?
Question:
Recently my son, age 4 1/2 began having a ‘tic’ where he shrugs one shoulder or the other along with closing or blinking of his eyes. he has no ‘vocal’ tics. This has been going on for about a week. He seems to be getting these tics with increased frequncey. He had a lousy cold about two weeks ago (flu) and this seems to have started since then. What should be my concerns and where should I go from here ? Are tics always related to tourettes or is there some other condition that I should be looking for ?
