My friend Mikey expired last night. I know he’s finally at peace….and that’s all I ever wanted for him. I am doing fine, really. I am very calm and also feel a sense of peace. Thanks to those of you who expressed warm thoughts and showed how much you care. Jo

I will…thanks. It also happens to be the 2nd anniversary of my friend Corey’s death, as well as his 50th birthday. Mikey had just turned 50 also….. Jo – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text –

My thoughts are with you, Jo. Ubi caritas et amor Deus ibi est. Pablo

Much charity and love, yes. Thank you, Pablo. I’m a little more emotional tonight than I was earlier today. Things are slowing down and sinking in. I went through tons of photos, and that brought both tears and smiles. Mixed in were photos of me and family when I was young, those of relatives long passed, and others through high school, college, cross-country trip, europe, many trips and times with a variety of friends from all phases and stages of my life. It was quite the trip down memory lane! I was looking for pics of Mike, and reminisced about fun times and places we went, things we did together, and some cute photos (like the one where he fell asleep on my bed in jeans and a dark blue tee-shirt, and I had some powder (or flour?) on my hands and left strategic hand prints on him, then took a photo. Also a really precious photo of him bathing my bichon in the kitchen sink, and both were soaking wet! Anyway, it’s a process, as you well know. Little things like the speed–dial on the phone, and that sudden fleeting urge to "Call mike" and then the painful reality…you know. Oh, by the way! I found my old friend Dennis – today of all days! He is indeed alive and well, although with a different type of cancer that docs had missed in Maine….we spoke for an hour tonight and it was great to catch up….Yet ANOTHER synchronistic event to be attuned to….I lose one old friend the same day I re-connect with another….. Be well, Jo

For me, it is in the mornings when I first wake up and remember, "Oh yeah…." > Oh, by the way! I found my old friend Dennis – today of all days!
