Vampires

Question:

I just had an intresting experience donating blood. As per policy, the nurse performing a pre donation screening asked what medications I was on and why.  I told her such and such medications for Tourette Syndrome.         Of course, she had never heard of it.  So she spent about 1/2 hour looking for the name in all the medical lists of acceptable and non- acceptable disorders.( for donations that is)   Believe it or not it wasn’t listed.                   Meanwhile I’m sitting there at the screening table, with a number of friends waiting their turn starring at me wondering what was taking me so long. (They don’t know that I have T.S.)  The nurse is franticaly trying to find someone who had heard of this tourettes thing, and I’m sitting there trying to avoid the stares of all onlookers.         Eventually the supervising nurse walked in and told my screener that there were no problems, and to let me donate blood.         All in all a tedious process.
