What is Deja News?

Not to show my ignorance, but what is Deja news and how do I know if I have it? I have Windows 95, Internet Explorer version 3.2, and use TiAC as my server. Randall?? Also, if anyone is interested in seeing my photos to purchase, please e-mail me! I have some great shots of Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, etc….Thanks! — Joanne C.

[posted and mailed] Jo, Deja News is a service that archives all posts to Usenet. Supposedly. You can go back and find anything you’ve ever posted. But, it’s way out of whack and has been most of this week. You don’t have to "have it" — you go to their website and do a power search on alt.support.tourette. http://www.deja.com I am going to make a point of copying everyone that I respond to via e-mail while Usenet is out of whack. I take it back — it appears that Deja.com may be back on track as of this morning. I just went there, and they have 92 posts from Aug 6 to Aug 7, and most of those posts haven’t made it to either of my readers. Sooooo … … when I get back from driving "up north" to look at lab puppies, I get to trudge through everything I’ve missed that is now archived on Deja !!! Jo, I strongly recommend that you go over there … http://www.deja.com click on power search put alt.support.tourette in fourm and put Aug 5 1999 to Aug 7 1999 in the date range fields — may of the posts that are archived on Deja for those dates may not have made it to your reader.
