Brad, I think you’re talking about The Infinity Project. It hasn’t really taken off yet, but the address is http://www.mrmark.com/globe/TS/index.cgi Dominique

Regardless of which web Browser you use or which forum you select you will still have to have an ISP to get you from A to B. The web is TCP/IP based and thus UNIX. You have to have something or someone to convert your DOS or windows based files to UNIX so they can be transmitted over the web. This is the primary purpose of an ISP. To give you the user a seamless interface between your machine and the UNIX based web. The web started out as a way for scientists and the like to communicate and UNIX is the main language of scientists. Does it make sense why you have to have an ISP? Mark

Is there a way of accessing the news group without through the net?  I belong to another group where I just pick up my e-mail, and it’s there. Please advise.  When I accessed you this morning, there were 66 messages and 31 unread.  I could not get the rest of the messages. Cheryl

Cheryl, No there really isn’t. There are many e-mail programs out there that can be used without subscribing to a particular ISP. But to the best of my knowledge you have to subscribe to an ISP before you can read a newsgroups postings. The ISP may allow you to read some of the NG postings offline but they must still be obtained through an ISP. Does this answer your question? Mark

No, but you can access it through Dejanews with a regular web browser (ie Netscape, Internet Explorer, Lynx, etc. at http://www.dejanews.com/          Also, there IS a TS mailing list – the Sunrise Tourette mailing list, but I don’t have the address for it.  It is not the same postings as this newsgroup, but I imagine covers much of the same topics.         There is also a TS forum at: http://neuro-www.mgh.harvard.edu/forum/         and a Tourette chat room: http://neuro-www3.mgh.harvard.edu/interaction$/chat/index         Someone in this newsgroup has also created a TS forum, but I don’t know that address either.         This news group is more comprehensive then the forums, but the forums can be accessed by any web browser, don’t have the spam problems that some people have here, and therefor are a bit more "family oriented".         How old are the oldest posts you receive in this newsgroup?  You may be able to convince your ISP to hold the postings longer.                 BradHAWK
