Why don’t you take your own advice, and stop crossposting? No you just had to post your agreements to friends, and try to discredit what you don’t like. Why don’t you complain to these folks’s ISPs’? Well, because you’re playing games. This post you sent this morning has SPP removed (after I mentioned about you cross posting). But you failed to remove SPP yesterday evening, that’s why. Here read it yourself, check the NG headers, okay? Might help next time when *you* complain to ISPs first, ask questions later… Subject: Re: GO underground and stay there…… Path: lobby!newstf02.news.aol.com!portc03.blue.aol.com!newsfeed.cwix.com!198.138 .0.5!newshub.northeast.verio.net!news-feed1.tiac.net!posterchild2!n…@tiac.net From: "Joanne C." <joco…@tiac.net> Newsgroups: alt.support.tourette,sci.psychology.psychotherapy Date: 19 Jun 1999 05:26:43 GMT Organization: The Internet Access Company, Inc. (Snip) >Erebus,

It’s TOR, if folks even bother reading my posts before they start ranting.  she was not aware she was crossposting. She complained about crossposting, don’t you think it’s wise to check *her* posts before ranting about others?   The thread was started >with two ngs, she replied and it went to both ngs.  Then you posted a >response with only one ng, she replied to the one ng.

Well, you do know that AOL we can’t crosspost. I can only reply to one NG at a time.   I see no evidence >that she ever changed a newsgroup header,

Pays to read carefully. Didn’t say anything about doctoring newsgroup headers.  so I conclude that you are the >one playing games.

Concluded wrong. TOR Consumer Advocate — "Raoul, Raoul, Raoul and the Kings of Spain Making it plain, making it sane To turn this loss into a gain" ——Raoul and the Kings of Spain — 1995 — Tears For Fears

You’re a crock full of word plays, gamer. I sign my posts, which means your statement above is meaningless. >Erebus is the personification of darkness.  Since you have come to a.s.t >only to spread darkness, the name is quite apropos.

You’re the embodiment of protectism, even if fact was a 2×4 and hit you upside the head. Well Barticus reminds me of Barficus. Now isn’t that a sweet name ;) >She complained about crossposting without really knowing what crossposting >was.  She was born ignorant, and unlike you she doesn’t know everything, >yet.

Another excuse. Wayne where are you? >Actually I did already know that, but it didn’t occur to me.

Oh, and you’re qualified to tell me about my name, handing out excuses, and saying I’m playing games now, eh? Not when you don’t know the obvious. You’re suppose to be the Usenet "pro", and that means you know about newsreaders. Consider yourself spanked, since as the "expert" you didn’t do your homework. >Regardless, >my point remains valid:  You accused her of sending one message to two >newsgroups and then the next to one newsgroup as though this were a >conscious act by Joanne,

Jeeze, Bart, you need to have those specs cleaned. Because if you travelled to SPP, you’d see how much crossposting was done, by ASTers. > when in fact the change from two newsgroups to >one occured when you posted.

Yep, when the crossposting BS was exposed. Can’t complain about crossposting and reposting when ASTers were doing it themselves. Remember that next time anyone complains to an ISP. Also why you bothered to post about it. >I didn’t say "doctoring", I said "changed".

Which is doctoring, because any alteration of NG *headers* is a doctoring process. Clever word play for the uninformed, so let’s inform them, okay?   I was refering to posting a >reply to a newsgroup and consciously changing the "Newsgroups:" line in >the posting window.  Read carefully what you had said:

I did, but you didn’t. That’s why when you mention about this…. >>   I see no evidence >> >that she ever changed a newsgroup header,

Replies like mine are valid. Read carefully. >This implys she consciously removed "sci.psychology.psychotherapy" from >the "Newsgroups:" line, which she did not. >She didn’t even know to look >at the "Newsgroups:" line.  You knew that she was writing in response to >your message which wasn’t crossposted.  You were (and are) the one playing >games.

No, Bart, goes like this: complain first, excuse later doesn’t cut the mustard. And your sorry attempts to justify it after the effect, just shows what you folks have to protect. You prove exactly what some folks been stating, and it’s by your very own words. Thanks for the info about the newsgroups line on newsreaders. I’m always interested in how one "consciously" uses a newsreader as an extension of their justification of abuse.
