Tetrabenazine
Question:
TBZ is approved in Canada, not presently in the USA, and has been used in the UK and many other countries; it’s also used for other movement disorders. We use it and are doing a study on it. A UK company is planning to submit it to the FDA for approval in the USA. It doesn’t cause tardive dyskinesia but has its own side-effects of sleepiness, etc. Sometimes it works when neuroleptics don’t. My impression is that it’s successful about 40% of the time. Has any one heard of a drug called Tetrabenazine (spelt something like that), used for treating tourette. Thank you
Response:
Yep…I used it for about a year. Easier to get in Canada or Europe than the US, I believe. I wasn’t impressed (too many side-effects) but others think it’s great. Joyce Raphael Gluck <do…@netcomuk.co.uk> wrote in message
