Update on Ben
Question:
Hola! It has been a very stressful couple of weeks. Benjamin has developed what I think is full blown school phobia. He is not on any meds; this is not an Orap thing, just a school thing. He has been complaining of stomach cramps, throwing up, raging, crying…the final straw was when he got hives, actual HIVES, in the morning when told he needed to go to school. I kept him home, gave him Benadryl, which of course knocked him right out. The hives were gone within an hour; this happened twice. I made an appointment today with his Pediatrician that he has seen since he was a wee bairn in the isolette. I explained all of this, and she agreed with me that Ben is too stressed out, and that the school is obviously not meeting his needs. She wrote me a letter to take to the school in which she states that she ’strongly recommends Home-Bound Schooling’. I will take this to the school tomorrow and see what it leads to. So. I appear to be headed for another adventure in parenting. I will let you know what happens next. Hugs, Benita
Response:
Oh Benita, I am so sorry that you and Ben have had a hard time these past couple weeks. The poor guy. Please let us know how the school handles things tomorrow. I will be thinking about you both… Prayers and Hugs…for you both. Kim
