legal help for tourette's sufferer

Dear Friends, My 20 year-old son, who has tourette’s, had an attack back in November. He had this attack in a parking lot at a department store and scared a lot of people. The police were called and he was shot 3 times by a police-man. Now he is being prosecuted in Indianapolis by the District Attorney and it seems to make no difference to anyone that he has Tourette’s (and schizo-affective disorder too.) They are pushing to send him to jail for four years. I am pleading for any information as to an attorney who might be understanding and take his case. His public defender is not interested in helping him in any way. If you know of an attorney in the Indianapolis area who would work to help my son get a more equitable outcome for his situation, I’d appreciate the information.
