Severe OCD in child
Question:
Hello, I am wondering if anyone has any experience with meds for a severely ocd child.(4 and a half yrs) My son is severe ADHD,OCD and possible Tourettes syndrome. He is also speech delayed and violent tempered. Amoung his other ocd behaviors, he pulls his eyebrows out. Any feedback is much appreciated. Thank you. Jenny

Jenny, My son started with OCD when he was around 3 or 4 years old. At that time they did not want to put him on medication. He stopped his symptoms after a few months and then when he was 5 they came back. He feared germs and had to count everything. He is now in therapy and on prozac. He still has OCD symptoms but he feels much better. Your son seems to have a lot more problems and I was wondering if they put him on medication. Does he go to therapy? E-Mail me anytime.
